beginning this Thursday, Aug. 7 Denver, Colo., Aug., 6, 2008 – Race
Central TV, the premier TV and radio home for local, national and
international motorsports coverage, today announced a new partnership with
the Tri-State Future Stars Racing Series. Beginning this Thursday, Aug. 7, Race Central TV will present exciting
coverage of the Tri-State Future Stars Series’ 4th of July event
at Big Country Speedway in The
Tri-State Future Stars Series is the Colorado, Wyoming and Nebraska Mini-Cup
racing association, for youngsters between ages 8 to 16. Racers compete in
half-size scale replicas of NASCAR cars on dirt tracks to win various awards
and develop real racing skills. Featured Teams / Drivers: Team
High plains Motorsports, consisting of Tyler Luttrull and Kurtland Larke, two
eight year old drivers in the Tri State Future Stars series, have entered
their third season of driving these half size NASCAR replicas. While only
being eight years old these drivers have four seasons of experience to fall
back on as they strive to become the dominant force in the mini cup series.
Kurtland was first to break through in the win column earlier this year
winning the heat race in race number two this season followed closely by
Tyler in race three as he won both the trophy dash and the heat race.
Watching these youngsters as they go head to head with the older competition
in the series allows the boys to show off the talent they both have. Team
Highplains Motorsports is headed by Ken Larke, Kurtland's father, and Jay
Luttrull. A
& A Racing features Austin and Andy Farley, two names to keep in mind for
the future. These brothers are young teenagers and they both exhibit
remarkable skills behind the wheel.
While driving Karts, the brothers collected numerous State Championships,
“Rookies of the Year” and “Drivers of the Year” awards, while at the same
time had over 200 podium appearances.
In the Tri-State Mini Cup Series last season, Austin and Andy finished
1st and 2nd in the series with the title not decided
until the last race of the season.
Austin and Andy also raced their Mini Cups nationally, and in their
first year in the series placed 5th and 7th
respectively. Moving into the Micro
Sprints this season hasn’t slowed down either of the boys as they regularly
fight for the checkered flag. In
addition to the 250cc Micro Sprints, Austin and Andy are racing their new
600cc sprint car chassis on dirt tracks, preparing themselves for the Tulsa
Shoot Out. They will be racing both
the OEM motors and Outlaw motors in the 600cc sprint car chassis. A & A Racing is headed by Bill
Farley. The chief mechanic is Alvis
Dunn and along with Sharon Dunn, the Race Coordinator and Data Manager. About Race Central - Race Central TV, Race Central Radio and Race Central
